Well, I guess it is time for another update. Christmas was amazing. We stayed home christmas morning and opened presents as a family for the first time. It was fun to be the dad handing out the presents. It made me feel all grown up. Well, I said feel, not that I actually was grown up. That will probably never happen. Hadley was very excited for all of his gifts. Well, most of them. The clothes were not the biggest hit, but they were cool in their own way. We then made our way over to Jerome, and opened gifts with Grandma Pickett, and Uncle Ronald, Aunt Ashley, Trinity, and Aunt Rachel. It was a little chaotic, but it was still fun. After that, we headed out west to the ranch to party with the Severe family. Everyone was there, and speaking of chaos...I don't think it gets more chaotic that at the Severe house, but that is what makes it fun. All of the kids had fun opening and playing with everyones toys. I helped my dad suprise my mom with diamond earrings, and my brother in law suprise my sister with an anniversary band. It was fun to be able to do that for them.
For New Years Eve, we again ventured out west, and played ROCK BAND on the wii that my brother and his family got for christmas. It was a blast. We laughed so hard, and had a great time. The next morning all the kids went sledding and came back in the house sopping wet. We were able to play with Grandpa Severe's puppies, and eat and eat and eat. That is what the holidays are all about right?
I am very grateful for this holiday season, and the joy that it has brought to our little family. We have been able to feel the Spirit of God in our hearts so much, and we are grateful to all of our friends and family that has been there to help us through this little hurdle.
We have scheduled the 19th for the birth of our little baby boy. They will be doing a C-Section. Cynthia keeps hoping that something will happen before that, but is doubtful. We are anxiously awaiting this new addition to our family, and can't wait for the changes that it will bring.
